Have a Great Thanksgiving...I have a turkey story to tell you. When I was 10 years old, we had raised one turkey... a few days before the holiday a salesman knocked on our door and sold us a lighting system for our home... we lived on a farm where we didn't have power... he took our turkey for the down payment, so we had a rooster for Thanksgiving!Love all of you......Grandma Starich

I love those farm stories. Tell us more! I have a few good farm memories myself. I remember Grandpa McIntire wringing the chicken's neck and then he would bring it in the house and we would pluck the feathers out so Grandma could cook it for dinner.
I also remember feeding the lambs from the fingers of a rubber glove. I only know now, on this end of life, how rare those times were. The farm visits were very special.
